MESSAGE FROM DFO WILDLIFE MANSERHA

      Dhodial Pheasantry is one of the best ex-situ conservation facility in Pakistan. It has gained the status of Asia’s largest Pheasantry by virtue of facts that out of 52 Pheasant species, 38 species being housed for breeding, education, research and recreation.

Due to this facility, locally extinct cheer Pheasant have been raised in captivity for their re-introduction in suitable habitat.

Dhodial Pheasantry is also serving as recreation spot where visitors from all walks of life are amused by these charismatic birds and get information regarding their habitat and conservation status.

Besides, this Pheasant is also serving as live-research laboratory for students of universities who are conducting their research on various aspects in captivity.
